1.) Open the App Store
2.) Search for the "globalprotect" app and and then hit "GET"
3.) Open the app once it's downloaded
4.) Enter 'SUU' for the Description, 'vpn.suu.edu' for the Portal Address, and click “CONNECT”.
5.) Enter your SUU username and password and then click "SIGN IN" (If you are an SUU Faculty/Staff member see below)
Note: The VPN does require two-factor authentication.
- Duo Push: If you typically use the Push feature of Duo and approve the Pushes on your device, then enter your credentials and check your mobile device for a Push that is automatically sent. There is no prompt that a Push has been sent as is typical when logging into the mySUU Portal, so you need to remember to check your device for the Push.
- Passcode: If you typically use a Passcode generated by a FOB or the Duo Mobile app, then when you enter your password you have to append a comma (","), and then the 6-digit passcode generated by your FOB or the Duo Mobile smartphone app. For example, if you push the FOB button or tap the Southern Utah University entry in the Duo Mobile app, and get a Passcode of 123456, and your password is "springtime", then your password for the VPN would be the following: springtime,123456.
- If you are an individual that is not required to use two-factor, then simply enter your password.
6.) After a few seconds the sheild icon should turn green and say “Connected”.
To Disconnect: Tap on the Shield icon and the icon will turn grey indicating you are disconnected from the VPN.
