What is Zoom?

Zoom is a cloud-based video communications app that allows you to attend and set up virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live chats, screen-sharing, and other collaborative capabilities. You don't need an account to attend a Zoom meeting, and the platform is compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, meaning nearly anyone can access it.

SUU has a site-wide license to Zoom, which means that all faculty, students and staff have access to a Licensed Zoom account via there SUU email. Zoom is used by a majority of the instructors to record their classes and then get the recordings published to their courses. It can be used by instructors and students alike to create videos that include screen-sharing.
