If so, this intensive Sales Graduate Program may be for you. You’ll be thoroughly trained to become a Territory Sales Manager (outside sales rep) for Ritchie Bros. As a Trainee Territory Sales Manager you’ll be given hands-on learning, surrounding every aspect of the auction business. Students in their final year of studies are eligible to participate in this program part-time as Sales Interns. Ultimately grooming you to become a successful member of our top-tier sales team!

Trainee Territory Sales Manager - Full-time Regular Base salary, paid overtime. One of our objectives of the Sales Graduate Program is to provide you with the following opportunities:

1) Culture In order to successfully work within our organization and represent Ritchie Bros. to our customers; it is important to first observe, experience and ultimately adopt and live what we define as our corporate culture. Internally we often refer to it as "LIVING ORANGE".

2) Auction Operations Learn all aspects of the auction yard, including health and safety, yard management, customer service, refurbishment and financial accountability, equipment knowledge, contract management and more.

3) Sales Operations Learn how to effectively conduct appraisals and inspections to establish value for equipment; understand legal requirements & contractual aspects of business appraisals. Drive outbound call campaigns to actively develop qualified leads and generate new business opportunities. Learn how to become a Trusted Advisor and an expert at putting your time and energy where it will have the most impact.

Qualifications:

Here’s what you bring: Post-secondary education and Master’s studies are a strong asset, ideally you have graduated in a major of Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Business Admin, Construction, or Agriculture. If you are still in your 4th year of studies – no problem, let us know and we’ll consider a part-time sales internship in this program. We need you to be adventurous and mobile. A firm requirement of the program is to relocate if a territory in the region in which you are trained is not available. You have a track-record of setting your own goals, and then meeting or beating them -- but you never sacrifice your personal integrity along the way. You have experience on an organized sports team, running your own small business or direct work experience in an outside sales position preferred. You’re a true people person. You have and a natural curiosity about absolutely everyone you meet. You have a strong learning ability, coupled with a desire to learn more about everything around you. You’re a self-starter. Sitting still and waiting to be told what to do next just isn’t in your nature. It’s important to note that: This is not an "8 to 5" job. As an event-driven company, overtime is a major part of what we do. Overnight travel will be required up to 50% of the time. You'll have to maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. You must be able to work outside for extended periods in all types of weather. You must be able to climb on top of and under large construction equipment.
