Description:
THIS INTERNSHIP IS BASED AT PARASHANT NATIONAL MONUMENT:
Intern will spend approximately 75% of time conducting bird, plant and mammal inventories. Field time will require overnight camping (tent and/or cabin) and conducting work in high temperatures (excess of 100°F). Inventory, vehicle and camping gear will be provided. 25% of time will be spent adding data to image library, helping with youth camps, special events, and festivals. Flexibility in job assignment appreciated.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of local birds and plants, any biological inventory work and familiarity with GPS a plus. Data entry techniques, attention to detail, and working knowledge of MS Excel necessary. (Biology, Physical Science, Statistics, Math.)
