The Registered Nurse in this position will perform a full range of nursing tasks in a variety of settings and with a variety of patient groups and care providers. The Registered Nurse exercises independent professional discretion based on licensure in general duty settings and clinical nursing settings for the Utah Department of Corrections. May also direct/supervise medical staff.
**The successful candidate must submit to a pre-employment drug test.
Successful candidates will possess:
licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Utah.
competency with medication administration to include various routes including injections and IV
supervision of unlicensed assist personnel
competent with patient assessment
competent with communication of information to provider
competent in documentation in an electronic medical record
a solid understanding of principles, theories, and practices of nursing
the ability to follow and apply treatment plans developed by a licensed professional
an understanding of first aid and CPR
a knowledge of proper care to patients

Qualifications:
