Primary Purpose
This announcement will be used to fill two positions on the Pocatello campus. Teach health informatics (HI) courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, help build and promote our HI programs, produce research publications in HI.
Key Responsibilities
Program building and promotion, curriculum design, student advising, teaching, research and service in HI.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a terminal degree in an informatics, data analytics, or health care-related discipline; or a prior academic appointment in a health informatics program. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high quality teaching at the collegiate level.
Candidates will also be able to demonstrate Health Informatics research in the form of refereed publications, works under review, and/or works-in-progress.
Candidates at the Associate level must also have a minimum of 4 years of full-time college or university teaching at the rank of Assistant Professor (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience with program building and promotion, as well as success in obtaining grants and performing funded research. Heathcare practitioners will be given preferred status. Well-qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate hands-on, real-world informatics experience in areas such as medical informatics, nursing informatics, clinical informatics, or any major health information systems technology. Applicants should have experience interacting with healthcare practitioners and administrators.

Priority consideration will be given to applications received by April 28, 2017. However, the position will remain open until filled. Salary is supported by state appropriated funding and will be commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
