Description:
Chrysalis boarding school is seeking a full time Social Studies/History Teacher. This position provides the opportunity to plan and deliver instruction for all scheduled classes for Junior High and Senior High levels. Adapt lesson plans to accommodate varying levels of students and any special educational needs. Create and maintain a curriculum file for each course taught. Provide feedback to students through timely grading of assignments. Provide pertinent information regarding student progress, behavior and performance. Manage student behavior in the classroom to ensure a safe environment conducive to learning. This position requires a current Montana teaching license or a degree in Social Studies/History with the potential to acquire a teaching license.

Educational Background and/or Teaching experience in Social Studies/History.
Knowledge of a variety of teaching methods.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Must be able to plan and prioritize work.
Ability to adapt to the vast variety of learning, behavioral and emotional needs of the students.
Basic word processing skills and the ability to use on-line programs.
The position requires a current Montana teaching license or potential to acquire a teaching license.
Teaching experience in addition to student teaching is preferred but not required.
