Job Summary The Order Processing Specialist (OPS) is responsible for receiving and processing customer’s purchase orders, providing accurate pricing, and evaluating and solving customer order and purchasing problems. The OPS also fulfill departmental roles in delivering documented on-time, accurate customer orders by coordinating with Sales Engineers, Shipping services, Purchasing, Production, and others in the order fulfillment processes.

Responsibilities · Receiving and processing customer orders and providing simple price quotes · Verifying pricing, terms and conditions, shipping requirements, warranty information, payment terms, and any special customer instructions or requests for each order including confidential information · Ensuring OPS’s contribution to order fulfillment is reached through KPI’s and goal setting · Following up with Sales Engineers, Shipping services, and others in coordinating order fulfillment to ensure on-time product order delivery · Understanding general product information in order to communicate with customers on product lines �� Securing accurate order data from the customer through established verification process · Resolving customer order issues to the satisfaction of both customer and company · Prioritizing individual/team workload to ensure effective execution of responsibilities · Accepting and performing other OPS and non-OPS assignments as needed

Work environment: Traditional office setting. Use of standard office equipment including computer systems and office software. Frequent work interruptions.

Physical requirements: Combination of standing and sitting for extended hours during the work day. Close and distance vision abilities including color and depth perception.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with job relevant education and work experience. Excellent benefits provided.

Qualifications:

Required technical and functional Skills · Demonstrated ability to work within established deadlines · Adaptable to changing processes and work environments · Proven ability to work well in individual and team assignments · Demonstrated superior customer service, oral and written communication skills, and diplomacy in handling customer requests and conflict · Efficient use of computer systems and software including Microsoft products, etc., proven ability to learn new systems · Use of multi-line phone and telecommunications systems · Effective decision making skills that enable the OPS to differentiate symptoms from problems · Results driven with appropriate supervision

Preferred qualifications · Basic understanding and application of purchase contracts terms and conditions; and the methods and terminology in shipping services . Knowledge of INCO terms governing international import and export shipping requirements and domestic shipping terms · Basic understanding of domestic and international credit terms, banking and Letter of Credit (LOC) provisions · Conversationally bi-lingual in Spanish or Chinese, fluent in English · Order processing/fulfillment experience in an E-Business environment · Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline

Required education and relevant experience · 2-years of post-high school education, or . Equivalent work experience in business, office occupations, or customer service positions
