Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets such as websites.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting with special design projects as needed
Generates and manipulates graphic images and text
Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization
Leverage internal data for external audiences to represent key insights graphically
Ensure all graphics are on-brand, relevant, and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
Support internal print and digital graphic needs by exhibiting a thorough working knowledge of outstanding design concepts
Develop graphics that are contextually relevant and provide unique value for the web
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of Sitting for up to 8 hours a day
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Computer Requirements
Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Familiar with photo editing software
Professional design experience including the use of Adobe Creative Suite
Experience Required
2-4 years in a related field of graphic design
Experience in a manufacturing setting necessary
Strong technical understanding of ERP systems and IT infrastructure systems including telecommunications, PC management and networks
Comfortable with investigating and evaluating the functions and capabilities of new technologies and vendor management
Experience Preferred
2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Excellent creative portfolio
