Sports Thread is purpose driven: To help high school athletes who aspire to play at the collegiate level get inside information about colleges and their sports programs before making life changing decisions on which school to attend. Sports Thread enables college athletes and students to be part of a vibrant online sports community where fans, current college athletes, aspiring high school athletes, parents and coaches can all communicate through their Sports Thread profiles.
Sports Thread seeks talented individuals who have a passion for college athletics and an interest in social media marketing.
Interns will learn the fundamentals of how businesses use social media through the internship and participate in a semester long course on social media marketing. The internship is unpaid and can be taken either for class credit or work experience.
Qualifications:
Interns will develop the following skills:
• Learning and recognizing social media trends
• Developing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. to grow a business and reach target markets.
• Effective content marketing.
• Increasing brand awareness through various social media platforms
• Implementing social media strategies
• Understanding methods behind growing a following on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• SEO and its significance in growing a business.
• Networking
