Description:

The Career Center is seeking a Graduate Assistant (must be enrolled in a master's program at SUU) who is wanting experience in higher education and an opportunity for professional growth. There will be opportunity to attend professional development conferences, learn from a dynamic team, and take part in the creative development of the Career Center programs. The Graduate Assistant will:

  • Manage the marketing and execution of all Career Center fairs (Student Jobs Fair, Career Fair, Account Fair, etc).
  • Market and collect data for the Graduate Questionnaire.
  • Conduct in-class workshops regarding Career Center topics (resume development, interviewing, job search, etc).
  • Meet individually with students for resume reviews.
  • Create marketing material.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Candidates who possess the following will be considered for this position:

  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • An ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Preference given to those with a marketing or event management experience.
