Primary Purpose
The Assistant Director works closely with the Director in the oversight and management of the Student Services office within the College of Technology (COT). This individual interacts with all departments within the college as well as many of the departments and offices across the university at-large. The Assistant Director aids in the management of college level admissions and retention efforts. This person must have a strong background and proficiency in computer/technical skills as there is a heavy amount of work in data management, collection and organization with the completion of various reports.
Key Responsibilities
• This individual manages the daily implementation of the office communication plan which intersects all COT students, staff, and faculty.
• This individual aids in the management of the Early Alert System (EAS), the primary retention initiative for COT.
• This individual manages BeRegistered!, the early registration initiative for COT.
• This individual provides the daily oversight and management of six office staff members including annual reviews.
• This individual actively participates in several institutional level committees as assigned by the Director.
• This individual attends weekly data meeting within the college and collects and organizes data, which is helpful to management decisions within COT.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of three years management experience in higher education setting
• Experience assisting faculty, staff and students within higher education academic setting

• Master’s degree in a related field

Salary has been approved at $47,130 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
