Description:

Full-time/Salaried position. Provide students with technical instruction in a safe, clean, and productive learning environment. Meet programmatic and accrediting body goals for student completion, placement, and licensure. Assist students with job placement and applicable industry or state certifications/licenses in support of meeting placement and licensure/certification goals. Exemplify, motivate, and advise students in the areas of program and college expectations and appropriate work behavior and dress standards. Assist counselors, supervisor, and other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student success. Maintain contact with area employers; seek and implement feedback to continuously improve program curricula and training facilities to meet industry standards in support of completion, placement and certification/licensure. Provide oversight of program budgets and assets; recommend purchases. Interact in a positive and professional manner with students, coworkers, and college partners seeking win-win solutions. Complete assignments within established timelines in preparation for employer advisory team meetings, college team meetings, and programmatic accreditation. Actively serve on college teams as assigned and participate in programmatic and college-wide marketing activities. Continually evaluate program viability based on student success measures and work with program director and program faculty to initiate improvements. Meet on a regular basis with salaried and adjunct faculty and seek input and consensus on all aspects of the program. Delegate programmatic responsibilities to salaried and adjunct faculty. Serve as intermediary in resolving programmatic, faculty and student issues. Coordinate program schedules and salaried and hourly faculty schedules. Direct daily staffing requirements and scheduling of salaried and hourly instructors. Ensure that instructional content areas comply with College standards, and programmatic and/or institutional accreditation requirements. Coordinate employer team meeting preparations with the team chair and employer team facilitator including the development of meeting agendas, programmatic plans, annual employer program evaluation and following up on assignments. Train, supervise and provide regular evaluation of program faculty and provide input to program director on faculty performance. Direct the development of professional development plans for salaried and adjunct faculty based on programmatic goals.

Hiring Range: $48,000 - $60,000

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m - 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of three years of work experience as a medical assistant performing both administrative and clinical procedures in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Must possess a minimum of an associate degree. Must have completed a formal medical assisting training program and possess a CMA or RMA credential. Must have documented instructional preparation in educational theory and techniques. Must have a minimum of one year teaching experience in post-secondary and/or vocational/technical education. Proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Spanish speaking proficiency is desirable.
