Description:
Access Development is seeking a confident, full-time, top class Senior Systems/Network Administrator to be a part of our DevOps team in our Salt Lake City office.
You’ll support new and existing network infrastructure, both internally managed and at Amazon web services. You should have advanced knowledge of Postgres Utilities, creation and implementation of fully functional Postgres databases, ability to maintain multiple development, QA and production Postgres environments with strong experience in performance tuning on Postgres.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This role requires a motivated self-starter who can hit the ground running, quickly taking on tasks and applying their strong, prior experience to tackle the challenges presented. This would include:
• Rotation for 24/7 on call response
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems within our environment
• Individual contributor performing both data design, modeling, and coding
• Design and build database solutions that are both highly available and highly performing.
• Administration, management, and monitoring of all systems and infrastructure
• Windows Server administration
• Active Directory administration
• On premise networking, switching, routing
• Data Protection (backup) – Automated backup/restore and verification
• Pro-actively Identify bottlenecks and resolve them quickly.
• Proactive monitoring of systems and network performance, scalability and security
• Update skills continuously with emerging technologies and apply them as and when needed.
• Support active Software Development and QA
• Support PostgreSQL database in AWS
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, "can-do" attitude
Qualifications:
SKILLS SUMMARY:
• BS Degree in Computer Science, information technology or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years relevant Systems Administration experience
• Experience in a 24/7 production environment support
• Working knowledge and experience with Network and Systems Security including PCI Compliance
• Cloud architecture best practices/design
• Experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, IAM, VPC, Redshift, etc.
• Working knowledge of bash and python
• Some database administration:
o Postgres
o SQL Server
• Solid understanding and experience with DevOps Methodologies
• Knowledge and experience in application deployment, automation and infrastructure monitoring
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
• 3 to 5 years of solid Linux Administration experience
• Configuration Management Experience (salt, ansible, others)
• Java/Ruby/Nodejs Application Support
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
