Description:

Primary Purpose The Instructional Technology Resources Center (ITRC) Instructional Technologist supports ISU faculty and staff with the design, development, and production of course materials, design of instruction, and technology training.

Key Responsibilities Perform needs assessment with faculty to identify improvements for curriculum resources, learning objectives, delivery techniques or learning activities.

Integrate various technologies to improve the design and delivery of course content and materials.

Incorporate various instructional design principles to improve student learning. Teach focused instructional technology workshops.

Guide the curriculum design and strategies for adapting/converting courses to web-based delivery.

Identify and implement multimedia materials or other technology applications that will enhance and improve student learning.

Maintain knowledge about using/applying Learning Management System as well as other programs and languages.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or related field.

Experience in higher education supporting stakeholders with educational technologies.

Strong organization, communication, and computer technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates knowledge and experience with multimedia materials or other technology applications that enhance and improve student learning.

Teaching or training experience in higher education.

Demonstrates knowledge and experience with educational technology programs and basic programming languages used in the both traditional and online educational settings.

Master’s Degree or advanced degree in education, instructional technology, mass communications or related technology field.

Ability to perform needs assessment with faculty to identify curricular resources, delivery techniques, or learning activities for distance education.

Experience supervising student employees.

Demonstrates knowledge and experience with a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle).

The approved salary is $42,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
