Description:

Primary Purpose Responsible for the administration of the university travel card, 1099 reporting, Accounts Payable processes, and provide customer support to university departments and staff.

Key Responsibilities • Ensure the accurate and timely reconciliation of travel card transactions, and review transaction activity to ensure compliance with university and state policies and procedures. • Review, create, and maintain travel card users in the travel card system, and accounting system. • Train departments on proper use of travel card, university travel policy, how to reconcile the travel transactions, appropriate internal controls and audit the travel card. • Review, create, and maintain taxable payments made in accounts payable. Process 1099’s at the end of the calendar year. • Review and maintain stale dated check information and create file to send to state. • Process journal entries for corrections and inter department sales. • Prepare financial reports, collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends. • Other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field • Three (3) years of work experience in an accounting position • Skilled with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases software • Ability to understand and analyze information and make decisions based on the analysis • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task

Preferred Qualifications • Higher Education/ERP work experience • One year of customer service work experience

The approved salary range is $48,000 - $52,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Offers of employment may be conditional pending successful completion of a background investigation.
