Description:
The Department of Internal Medicine seeks a highly motivated professional skilled in the analysis and interpretation of complex data into clear and actionable business recommendations. The successful candidate will interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Additionally, they will design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions. The incumbent works directly with clinical project and business leaders to identify and solve analytical and/or operational problems.

COMPENSATION: $47,600 to $90,400/year. Strong benefit package including tuition reduction program, retirement and health plan options.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Effective in data analysis/mining, including predictive modeling and hierarchical/longitudinal analysis.
2. Advanced computer system skills and a capacity to create dashboard-reporting systems.
3. Experience in data collection, storage warehousing, access, analysis, and usage for evidence-based improvements.
4. Strong organizational and analytic skills to prioritize, take initiative, follow projects through to completion, and manage multiple tasks/projects.
5. Forward thinking, innovative, and proactive in identifying problems and implementing evidence-based improvements.
6. Excellent collaborative leadership style with a strategic and creative approach, and exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
7. Prepares and interprets management information and other financial reports.
8. Analyzes financial documents, statistical data, historical data and package information into a clear, concise and compelling format that supports defined strategy.
9. Participates in the establishment, maintenance, and outcomes of special projects: Clinical Dashboards, Bed Board and Value Summaries.
10. Audits accounting systems, reconciles billing data, and resolves technical problems or recommends solutions when appropriate.
11. Analyzes trends and possible consequences.
12. Recommends and implements improvements that affect tracking systems and departmental operations.
13. May prepare and monitor clinical operational goals.
14. May provide training on financial issues or procedures or provide guidance to more junior staff.
15. Assists with general administrative functions, record keeping, and Divisional projects.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
