About us: State Hospital South is Idaho's largest psychiatric hospital, and is Joint Commission accredited, state-of-the-art 135-bed facility. SHS provides acute and long-term inpatient care for adults with severe mental illness; in addition to the treatment of adolescents and adult patients, the SHS campus includes a five-star rated Skilled Nursing Facility (CMS, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services) and employs approximately 335 full- and part- time staff. SHS is located in beautiful Southeast Idaho, an area best known for Oregon Trail and Native American history, amazing fly fishing, towering mountain peaks with abundant wildlife and awe inspiring geological sites. Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
