Brief Description: FULL-TIME. This position works under the direction of the Program Director. The Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Program Instructor will be responsible for providing technical instruction for students enrolled in the Non-Destructive Inspection program including supervising student internships/externships and achieving programmatic and accrediting body goals for student completion, placement and industry certifications. Individual must be experienced in production NDI and advanced inspection equipment and methods for composite materials and metals. Instructor will be required to work a varied schedule to include evenings and some weekends to provide employer driven training on campus and at specific company locations. Additional responsibilities include developing partnerships with local employers and other educational partners in support of programmatic and student success; curriculum and program development; completion of ongoing professional development to increase technical expertise and instructional skills; maintaining student records including verification of student attendance and competency completion; marketing college programs; serving on college teams; management of program budgets; and oversight of program assets.

Hiring Range: $56,000 - $82,000

Working Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 1 afternoon/evening shift per week required

Qualifications:

Requirements: Minimum of six years of a combination of related work experience and post-secondary education in the field of Non-Destructive Inspection. Competent in the use of all NDI methods and equipment for composite materials and metals. Certified as a Level III in one or more methods or meet training and experience requirements to obtain ASNT certification. Must be proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position, and have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Preference will be given to those with the following qualifications: individuals with current ASNT level III certifications, composite manufacturing and welding experience, teaching and/or curriculum development experience, and those who have completed a related Associate or Bachelor’s degree or applicable industry certification. Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.
