POSITION PURPOSE:

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced paralegal with excellent communication skills. Our paralegal will support the General Counsel in all aspects of the business, including contracts, FCC compliance and intellectual property.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide overall support to General Counsel.
Gather and produce documents related to subpoenas, and other legal document requests received by the stations.
Examine all documents, determine Bonneville's obligations under these agreements and then ensure that all critical dates and deadlines are tracked accurately so that Bonneville fulfills all obligations under the agreements. 
Draft contracts, forms, letters or other legal documents.
Conduct legal research using various legal resources.
Update and maintain legal templates. 
Open, maintain and close legal files.
Maintain and organize shared drive. 
Perform customer service, and administrative duties as needed.
Assist with preparation and filing of FCC applications for main station licenses and broadcast auxiliaries, renewals, etc.
Assist with preparation and filing of biennial Ownership Reports and post-closing Ownership Reports.
Assist stations in preparing quarterly Children's Programming Reports, Commercial Limits Certifications, and Issues and Programs Lists, and filing such reports with the FCC.
Maintain a database of Bonneville's FCC licenses, Federal Registration Numbers and associated passwords for FCC filings and maintain copies of Bonneville's FCC licenses.
Review and distribute Frequency Coordination Notices.
Audit station online public files for FCC compliance.
Advise stations regarding FCC rules for public file materials and uploading requirements; captioning (emergency, routine and web); new licenses; license modifications; technical and PCN requirements; legal identifications; sponsorship identifications; and answer other FCC rule-related questions.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
Minimum 3 years' paralegal experience required.
Prior experience in broadcast media preferred.
Experience with intellectual property (copyrights, trademarks) preferred, but not required.
Ability to work independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, including an ability to take direction in a productive manner.
Ability to collaborate across various teams and companies, provide solution-oriented work. Strong analytical capabilities and sound and practical judgment.
Contract drafting experience preferred.
Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
