Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the Title IV-E Scholars Coordinator/Faculty Field Liaison is to administer the Title IV-E Child Welfare Scholars Program at ISU.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting of social work students interested in Child Welfare and specifically in the Scholar’s program;
Providing field supervision of Scholar’s students placed in Child Welfare internships;
Teaching two courses throughout the academic year in addition to teaching Scholar’s seminars;
Working cooperatively with IDHW to provide a statewide Scholar’s Program highlighting best practices;
Participating in at least two Continuous Record Reviews (CRR) evaluations for Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, and additional activities as assigned to meet workload per contract requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
State of Idaho Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) with two years post-MSW degree experience.
Recognized practicum experience in child welfare, preferably with CFS.
Experience as a practicum instructor, educator, or teacher.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
