Role description & Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will work independently to perform a wide range of dimensional inspection tasks.
• Candidate must have a proactive attitude toward learning/training and be capable of working in a dynamic team environment.
• Some knowledge of manual inspection techniques as well as visual inspection is a plus.
• Candidate will be required to learn advanced GD&T, Calibrated tools, and program CMM’s.
• Knowledge in reviewing and understanding customer certifications and purchasing requirements; which include knowledge in blue prints, specifications, and contracts.
• Candidate must have a proactive attitude towards safety.
• A candidate must be focused on meeting customer requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Physical demands include standing or moving about the plant more than half the time.
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
• Candidate should be familiar with the receiving inspection process.
• Candidate should exhibit the ability to perform Dimensional Inspections.
Experience Preferred:
• GD&T preferred, with a working knowledge of dimensional tolerancing.
• Familiarity navigating ePIC and Pilgrim inspection plans.
• Experience working with measuring instruments.
• Experience with machine controls, fabrication, automation and robotics.
• Experience in working in a production environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 0-2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications.
• Skilled in shop mathematical applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QMIS, Cost Point, Maximo, & Smartsolve
Education/Certifications
• High School diploma or GED required
• A.S. Degree or equivalent highly preferred.
