Description:

We hire outstanding students recommended by SUU faculty. Tutors help students understand course material, review for tests, and develop study skills and test-taking strategies. Tutors bring experience, expertise, and enthusiasm to SUU students.

We primarily serve math, chemistry, and biology courses. Other subjects also include history, accounting, economics, psychology, physics, and more. Tutors assist students in the Tutoring Center (ELC 204) with walk-in, one-on-one, and small group tutorials.

Qualifications:

  1. 3.0 or better cumulative GPA (3.5 preferred).
  2. Earned A or A- in courses you wish to tutor (test out acceptable for some courses).
  3. Completed at least one semester at SUU.
  4. Excel at working with peers in a cooperative learning environment.
  5. Enjoy helping others to learn.
