Description:

Preferred Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm, with some weekends on-call

A global manufacturing company and provider of household products is looking for a Transportation Planner. The Transportation Planner will be responsible for planning and tracking the transportation of products for all locations. The ideal candidate will be well organized, a team player and have excellent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities of the Transportation Planner:

Monitoring of the Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure all shipments have been picked up and delivered Monitor daily dock appointments Initiate and maintain transfer and replenishment activity from all warehouse/entities Ensure compliance with warehouse work schedules Schedule customer pick-up and delivery appointments Coordinating and providing shipment information to various internal departments Plan and monitor all tracking to carriers Additional duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:

College degree preferred Experience in the transportation industry desirable, but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to perform within limited time constraints Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments Positive and professional demeanor Great communication skills
