Job Title: Lead Preschool Teacher 2017-2018 school year with Head Start (Several positions available)
Job Summary: Works cooperatively as a team member of a classroom in providing a comprehensive Head Start program. The Lead Teacher role is responsible for the safety, supervision, and the activities of pre-school age children assigned under his / her care in the program. In Conjunction with the Head Start and Family Health Partnership Team, is responsible for providing comprehensive case management for families in assigned classrooms. Must Maintain full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC, Child Care Licensing Policies and Health Department Codes and Regulations.
Lead Teachers work full time hours (40 hours / week) Approximately nine months out of the year (May-Aug) and have summers off. Teachers are eligible for unemployment over the summer, so still get most of their wage for not working.

Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Studies, or a Bachelor Degree in related field with an emphasis in Early Childhood essential topics
One year of related experience preferred
Previous Head Start experience preferred
Wage: $ 17.23 - $ 18.98 hourly depending on experience
