Description:

Primary Purpose To contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service expectations of a faculty role in the School of Nursing. The emphasis is on teaching, scholarship and the continued development of the School of Nursing Accelerated program.

Key Responsibilities Teaching - Provide classroom, clinical and online instruction, and support for undergraduate students. 70% Scholarship - Active engagement in research and/or scholarship. 20% Service - Advising students, serve on committees in the School of Nursing, Division of Health Sciences and/or the University. 10%

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Clinical Assistant Professor -Master's in Nursing -Demonstrated ability to teach. -Potential for scholarship, research, and grants/contracts.

Clinical Associate Professor -Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field. -Teaching experience with evidence of teaching effectiveness. -Record of and potential for scholarship, research, and grants/contracts.

Clinical Full Professor -Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field. -Teaching experience with established record of excellent teaching. -Established record of scholarship and research, including grants/contracts.

Preferred Qualifications Clinical Assistant Professor -Doctorate in nursing or related field. -Prior experience and examples of providing teaching in baccalaureate and/or graduate level classroom, clinical, and lab settings. -Record of scholarship and research. -If Nurse Practitioner, advanced practice is certification as FNP or PMHNP.

Clinical Associate Professor -Doctorate in nursing or related field. -Prior experience and examples of providing scholarly teaching in baccalaureate and/or graduate level classroom, clinical, and lab setting. -Established research agenda highlighted by conference presentations and/or publications. -Record of external funding. -Leadership roles in the local, state of regional professional organizations. -If Nurse Practitioner, advanced practice is certification as FNP or PMHNP.

Clinical Full Professor -Doctorate in nursing or related field. -Demonstrated excellence in teaching in baccalaureate and/or graduate level classroom, clinical, and lab settings. -Established research agenda highlighted by conference presentations and/or publications. -Established record of external funding. -Leadership roles in national professional organizations. -If Nurse Practitioner, advanced practice is certification as FNP or PMHNP. -Record of mentoring and scholarship development for faculty and doctoral students.

Position will remain open until filled. The approved salary range is $55,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Offers of employment may be conditional pending successful completion of a background investigation.
