Primary Purpose
Monitor and advise the activities of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership in program development, clinical experiences, and evaluation of the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program (DNP) degree options.
Communicate directly with the Associate Director for Graduate Studies in the oversight of the DNP program.
Teach online didactic and clinical courses in the graduate program. Teaching will include assignment of multiple graduate courses each semester (clinical and/or didactic courses).
Monitor and advise students in the DNP program. Assumes a major lead in the preparation of students for national certification.
Direct curriculum evaluation on an annual basis. Oversight of clinical placements working with Clinical Coordinator.
Active engagement in scholarship which aligns with School of Nursing mission and vision.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) and/or Ph.D. in Nursing.
Hold certification as FNP or PMHNP.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Demonstrated success in dissemination of scholarship.
Ability to practice in Idaho as an FNP or PMHNP by start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Three to five (3-5) years of similar experience and or teaching in an academic faculty role or equivalent.
NIH, HRSA or comparable research funding
