We are currently seeking a talented Senior Medicare Cost Reporting Specialist to join our team!

A typical day as a Senior Medicare Cost Reporting Specialist might include the following:

Work closely with assigned clients in the health care field, including hospitals and nursing homes. Prepare Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to meet federal and state regulations by required deadlines. Communicate with clients and Medicare and/or Medicaid contractors via telephone and email. Review trial balances, financial statements and client information for cost report preparation. Prepare reports summarizing clients' cost report results. Assist with training employees in the health care reimbursement department.

Qualifications:

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field. You have 2+ years of experience preparing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. You have a well-rounded knowledge of the health care industry, preferably in reimbursement and payment methodologies. You love the details and notice the fine print in everything you do. You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You are exposed to multiple projects and enjoy meeting deadlines. You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients. You are proficient with Microsoft Office and have knowledge of pivot tables and Excel formulas. You can interact with internal and external clients, delivering consistent results.
