In this role, you will collaborate with numerous partners, including industry leaders and other marketing and business personnel throughout the Firm. You will assist with the whole cost segregation process from initial contact to signature of engagement letter and commencement of work. A typical day as a Cost Segregation Manager might include the following:

Assist in managing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which includes client consultations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of Eide Bailly cost segregation personnel and client resources. Network, build relationships and attract new clients by effectively selling cost segregation work and other tax services to mid-sized business clients. Build market presence by speaking at Firmwide and industry conferences, writing internal and external communications releases on issue-related topics and authoring articles. Manage and coordinate accelerated tax depreciation studies. Coordinate with offices to collect information from clients, architects, engineers and contractors. Analyze cost and design, construction data and drawings to determine appropriate classification of various assets and discuss appropriate design alternatives to maximize tax benefits. Produce and oversee production of reports and updates of analysis performed. Prepare and deliver Form 3115s when applicable. Work with the cost segregation team, clients and partners to schedule projects and meet client deadlines. Conduct research related to cost segregation to maintain and expand your knowledge base. Participate in professional association meetings and forums. Coach or mentor a staff member to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career.

Qualifications:

You have past experience building, managing and mentoring a team and take pride in helping others. You are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team of high-performing individuals. You are an excellent communicator -- both your verbal and written communication skills are outstanding. You have the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information. You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality. You have strong attention to detail and are a multi-tasking master; there has never been a deadline you could not meet. You have strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office. You are open to travel and have the ability to travel and work at locations around the Firm and at client locations. You possess strong design and construction project management skills including project controls/engineering or cost engineering. In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, have an active CPA license, law license or LL.M. in taxation, and have a minimum of five years of experience in public accounting with significant experience in the cost segregation area.
