The HR Generalist will partner with the Omni Channel organization in the areas of associate engagement, Internship talent selection and curriculum, new hire onboarding, associate relations and performance management. Incumbent will contribute to Omni Channel HR team by assisting with the development and implementation of key strategies that will help elevate HR Operational effectiveness. The HR Senior Specialist will report to the Senior HR Business Partner.

Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with Senior HR Business Partner on key programs such as Talent Reviews, Leadership Development & Training, Organizational Development, Change Management, Succession Planning, and Associate Engagement Focus on consistently delivering an exceptional on-boarding experience for all new hire and transfer associates Drive end-to-end execution for Omni Channel Internship program Analyze and ensure weekly delivery of actionable recommendations for weekly scorecard and ad hoc HR reporting data such as turnover, compensation, headcount, etc. Conduct exit interviews and analysis of feedback from exit interview to determine trends Provide coaching and counseling to line associates on how to improve individual performance. Review and provide feedback on Performance Development Plans. Process associate related changes relative to pay, position management and bonus updates Create presentations, manage spreadsheets and assist with organizational charts/data Develop collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals

Qualifications:

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communication, or related field PHR certification preferred 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources as a generalist or specialist supporting Retail and/or Digital Technology clients/business units preferred General knowledge of HR best practices, policies, procedures and labor law compliance Strong business acumen and communication skills Possess excellent customer service skills Problem-identification and problem-solving skills Works effectively on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to respond appropriately and independently to a variety of complex and challenging situations Highly organized with strong attention to detail, documentation and accuracy Ability to balance role as both an employee advocate and partner to the business Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and PowerPoint Our corporate office supports the JCPenney stores nationwide and offers a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, term life insurance, paid vacation/holidays, 401 (k) Savings Plan with company match, and a merchandise discount plan to JCPenney.
