Description:

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an immediate opening for an Administrative Program Coordinator. Plans and implements activities for the NIH funded Utah Trials Innovation Center (TIC), ensuring goals and objectives are in accordance with established criteria. The TIC is part of an initiative to create the Trial Innovation Network as part of the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program. In this position, there are opportunities to work with a high functioning, cutting edge team that will study, understand and improve multi-site translational research. The Administrative Program Coordinator provides complex administrative support for the (TIC) including tracking and maintaining detailed records of all new projects assigned to and supported at the Utah TIC.

COMPENSATION: $31,600 to $51,699 DOE. Strong benefit package including retirement and health plan options.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serves as an administrative contact for the Utah TIC. 2. Oversees daily coordination of TIC Projects (initial/comprehensive consultations, services). 3. Advises TIC staff regarding program policies, goals and related technical issues. 4. Works closely with TIC team to implement new projects. 5. Develops and implements TIC Working Guidelines and SOPs. 6. Monitors TIC quality and effectiveness and researches improvement methods. 7. Creates and maintains organized files in electronic communication system. 8. Assists with report writing and other collection of metrics for the TIC. 9. Prepares agendas and takes minutes at weekly meetings and teleconferences. 10. Assists TIC with business planning and goal setting. 11. Advises DCC and TIC staff regarding coordination of TIC projects. 12. Prepares reports, financial statements and records on TIC status, projects and progress for management and outside agencies. 13. Writes and edits program related publications and promotional or educational materials. 14. Maintains TIC website. 15. Provides administrative support to upper level TIC management by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency required. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

PREFERENCES: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Applicants will be screened according to preferences.
