Description:

This position will assist the UTA Coordinated Mobility Department staff in the application, award, and contracting processes for an FTA grant program and other transportation assistance programs. Assist in establishing positive and collaborative relationships with human services agencies and transportation providers. Assist in the management of federal funds granted to human services agencies and local governments to provide transportation services to seniors and people with disabilities. Data entry of past grant awards into the online grant management program. Provide support to subrecipients and the grant administrator in grant related activities. Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with human service providers and local government contacts. Coordinate with other coordinated mobility staff regarding grant related activities such as application creation, quarterly reporting budget monitoring and grant close-out. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

unior level college student or above currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Social Sciences, Family/Consumer Studies, or equivalent. Must have attained a minimum 3.0 GPA. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Well-developed work organizational skills Intermediate level proficiency in Word Basic proficiency in Excel Understanding or experience with federal grant programs and requirements preferred Ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse individuals and groups. Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
