WGU, an online university, is looking for exceptional Customer Service Specialists that support our students with any assessment related issues. You will answer student queries on basic technical issues by providing fast and relevant solutions. If you are friendly, student focused, technically savvy then this is the job for you. In order to be successful you will demonstrate patience and make complicated solutions easy to understand. The goal is for the student to have a positive experience.

This is a full time position located in our Salt Lake City Office with the following schedule available: 4 week days plus Saturday; 1:30 PM MT - 10:00 PM MT Day time positions may also come available

The opportunity to work-from-home within the Salt Lake City area may be available to top performers after 6+ months of employment as a Customer Service Specialist. The work-from-home option is at management's discretion and is not guaranteed.

RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the first point of contact for students seeking technical assistance over the phone or email regarding Assessments and Evaluations. Perform remote troubleshooting through pertinent questions. Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by students. Walk the student through the problem-solving process. Follow-up and update student status and information when appropriate. Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

Qualifications:

To set you up for success our Customer Service Specialist must have: Minimum 1 year customer service experience Some college experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to problem solve Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
