Description:
Purposes
Provides direct counseling services, consultation to ecclesiastical leaders, community resource development and referral, direct supervision to intermediate licensees and support staff. This position works in council with adoption services peers to coordinate activities and programs. Provides professional supervision, program supervision, coaching, and professional training to therapists and volunteers. Ensures quality customer service and compliance with office policy, licensing requirements, and professional standards of practice.
A Part-time Counselor 2 works as needed but not to exceed 19 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities
50% 1. Provides clinical care under moderate supervision
20% 2. Provides consultation and maintains a positive rapport with church leaders
10% 3. Ensures that all work is legally compliant
5% 4. May be asked to identify and recruit community resources
5% 5. Responsible for own continued professional development
5% 6. Follows LDS Family Services policies and procedures
5% 7. Maintains client confidentiality
Qualifications
1. Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology or a closely related field
2. Independent practice license is required (must be state appropriate)
3. Minimum of 3 years post masters professional experience
4. Competency in productivity, efficiency and effectiveness
5. LDS Family Services Executive Council approval
Worthiness Qualification
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
