Description:

USU Extension, Iron County has a position available immediately or as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Full-time (40 hrs./week) 4-H Coordinator; full benefits. Some weekend and evening work required to lead events as well as in state and out of state travel. Required to have good people skills, computer and organizational skills, general office management capabilities and able to work both independently and take direction from supervisors. Must have access to reliable transportation. Must have knowledge of/or experience in 4-H program. College course work preferred.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have very good people skills and be able to interact with a diversity of individuals Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal direction Must establish and maintain positive relationships with USU Extension staff in Iron County and throughout the state Be willing to take direction from local Extension Agents Must communicate well with 4-H volunteers and members Must present a positive image of USU Extension and Iron County Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft programs Must have writing skills for sending out correspondence, newsletters, and news releases Have working knowledge of social media and maintain web presence for 4-H program Two years of higher education or two years of office work experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer a solid background in 4-H work and understand the needs of 4-H aged youth and volunteers Prefer having a knowledge of community resources Ability to obtain outside funding (grants, donations etc.) to expand support of programming in the county
