Description:

The RBT implements instructional programs, teaches adaptive living skills, and implements behavior interventions as directed by the Behavior Analyst. Moreover, the IIS-DS collects data, summarizes the child's progress and maintains communication with the Behavior Analyst and Lead Intensive Individual Support Staff regarding the child's needs.

AUTHORITY

The RBT is appointed by and derives his/her authority from the people Chrysalis supports, the Area Behavior Analysts, the Clinical Director, and the Area Director.

Qualifications:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

Minimum of least 18 years old
Pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test
Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Experience or Education:

High school diploma or GED
Six (6) months work experience using behavior analysis procedures with children with autism or evidence of equivalent experience and training
Completion of at least one college level course in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Special Education)

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Understand state policies and the Provider Code of Conduct, as well as Chrysalis' policy on Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation and Maltreatment
Communicate effectively with the child's family, as well as medical, professional, and state employees
Demonstrate good judgment and ability to handle difficult situations
Have excellent interpersonal skills working with the child and co-workers

Training and Certifications:

Complete 20 hours of pre-service training on autism spectrum disorders, autism skill training, Behavior Support Plans, data collection and working with families
Complete annual CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training (All Employees)
Obtain and maintain SOAR certification (All Employees)
Obtain and maintain Food Handler's Permit (Utah employees)
Complete T.B. test  (Utah employees)

Miscellaneous

Serve as an official representative of Chrysalis and market a positive image
Follow the Provider Code of Conduct
Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director, Behavior Analyst, and/or Area Director
