Description:

Summary/Objective The web developer role performs analysis and defines functionality for system improvements and new applications. This position builds, maintains and supports the entire developed environment and manages or leads various phases of the development cycle.

Essential Functions

  1. Apply expertise to technical problems in the computing and development environment.
  2. Constant communication and collaboration with off-shore development team.
  3. Performs or reviews systems analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation for assigned projects.
  4. Work with staff to provide technical and user training and manuals for new systems and major enhancements.
  5. Lead or participates in process improvement.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to create and implement new solutions.
  7. Provide technical leadership to team and department members. Leads through example, Mentor/influence others. Effectively works with peers, team members, and other departments.
  8. Participate on project teams for assigned system projects; analyzes improvements and new applications and develops requirements and specifications with team.
  9. Help develop specification, program and documentation standards. Maintains functional operation of assigned production systems.
  10. Act as key contributor on projects. Drives a project, from a technical standpoint, independently resolves issues.
  11. Make significant contributions to the success of projects by applying demonstrated knowledge.

Qualifications:

Competencies 1. Self-Motivated and self-confident 2. Exceptionally skilled with HTML, JavaScript, CSS 3. High competency in building web applications 4. Anal about documenting code 5. Able to ask for help 6. Experience building APIs 7. Strong understanding of UI & UX 8. Collaborate well with non-technical staff. 9. Communicate effectively and appropriately based on situation 10. Presentation Skills 11. Strong Problem Solving/Analysis 12. Manage multiple projects simultaneously 13. Team-oriented

Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent number of years of experience (4), or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
