Description:

The mathematician internship is a gateway to an exciting profession in mathematics, that of part game designer and part statistician. In this internship you will get a look at how these two things come together in an extremely competitive field. There is a good chance for future employment through the internship based on performance.

Duties would include: Apply existing game math models to new games structures. Putting existing math models through review to ensure accuracy and clarity. Helping develop, with the help of our full time mathematician, new math models for future games. Research gambling principles and existing games.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements: Have taken at least 2 statistics classes with one of them being intermediate statistics. Have an understanding of probability, randomness, and large number probability. Must be very proficient in excel. Be able to think critically and solve problems. Be interested in video/casino game design, excited about mathematical solutions in creating a good experience for the player. This job requires extreme attention to detail Interest in gambling, card games, board games, and video games is a big plus. Especially interest in core game design. Any programming experience is a huge benefit.
