Description:

Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting in sourcing, product supply, purchasing, and package engineering for assigned products. Collaborate closely with internal and external contacts to ensure that the package engineering meets legal and technical requirements and the quality expectations of international markets. Responsible for creating contracts that effectively utilize company funds in the acquisition of assigned products. Ensure that negotiations with suppliers include competitive bidding terms, conditions, and quality expectations. Collaborate with Buyers to ensure a high level of customer service in regards to assigned products. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

General understanding of product development with respect to marketing, technical and production Experience with packaging development and design preferred Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management preferred Ability to manage diverse projects simultaneously Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work well in a cross-functional team Proficient in use of Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel Good presentation skills Good team building skills; fostering trust, creativity and flexibility Excellent written and verbal communication skills Participate in continuing education such as professional meetings and reading current literature Some domestic and international travel required
