Description:

The Nu Skin Global Analytics team is looking for a sharp-minded individual who can help us ensure the integrity of our global pricing data as it relates to our sales compensation plan. This role will be a team of one and will report directly to the Director of Global Decision Science/Analytics. This position is outside of the Marketing organization and will NOT be responsible for determining the purchase price or retail price of our products. However, this position will likely collaborate with Marketing to determine the appropriate PSV, CSV and Sharing Bonus amount for our products.

This role will be fairly specific to Nu Skin’s business model and as such this position will likely need to be filled by an internal employee. However, if you do not currently work for Nu Skin but are looking to come back (it happens) or if you feel you have experience that directly translates to what we’re looking for then feel free to apply.

Key responsibilities include: Ensure Commissionable Sales Value (CSV), Personal Sales Volume (PSV), Sharing Bonus amount, and other internal pricing elements are in line with expectations and defined tolerances for each market Partner with markets when launching the Velocity sales compensation plan to make sure the pricing transition strategy maximizes the probability for success and minimizes disruption to Distributor and Customers In partnership with other areas of the company, drive the process to both define a price-increase strategy and ensure execution of that strategy Implement and manage the process for gathering competitor pricing data and use that data to inform price-increase strategies Educate/train the business on pricing best practices with respect to PSV, CSV and the Sharing Bonus Understand and educate the business on how changing PSV and CSV can impact the business, both from a Distributor’s perspective as well as the company’s In partnership with the Marketing group, understand and educate the business on promotional discounting and its impact on the business and our Distributors

Qualifications:

First and foremost, you’ll need a good working knowledge of Nu Skin’s sales compensation plan. You’ll need to understand how PSV and CSV work in the comp plan, why distributors care about how much PSV/CSV a product has, and how changing PSV/CSV will impact a distributor’s business and Nu Skin’s top/bottom line. If you’re not familiar with these concepts, if you’re familiar with the comp plan in general we should be able to get you there as long as people tend to describe you as being smart and a quick learner. You need to be very comfortable working in Excel…you don’t have to be an Excel maven but vlookup’s, sumifs, tweaking graphs to get them just right, etc., will be your bread and butter You need to either very familiar with the pricing data we have in our data warehouse and SAP, or you need to have decent programming skills (SQL in particular) You need to have an analytical mindset to really succeed. This involves curiosity, enthusiasm for data and using data to get answers to questions. You must be able to get work done quickly and accurately so a bit of scrappiness will come in handy You will be working with other functional areas of the business as well as the markets so being a good team player is essential. You’ll be talking about pricing which can be a sensitive topic so if you tend to be a bull in a china shop this probably isn’t the role for you. You need to be able to demonstrate that you can figure things out with minimal supervision. You’ll have plenty of support, but a willingness to reach out when you have questions and then go to work to find solutions will be critical. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity at first. This is a new role and we’ll be figuring it out as we go for the first little while. At least a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, information systems, analytics or any kind of science/engineering At least 2 years of relevant experience at Nu Skin, preferably in a role where understanding the comp plan is necessary for you to succeed
