Description:
This position is responsible for supporting tax compliance, and analysis for U.S. and foreign operations within the Company. The ideal candidate has experience with corporate tax work in a U.S. multinational environment.
Key Resposibilites:
1. Assist with preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns and various other tax forms throughout the year (1120, 5471, 1118, 1042, etc.)
2. Assist with preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision
3. Process fixed asset and depreciation transactions
4. Assist with preparation of quarterly estimates (income, franchise, state or federal) for various tax authorities
5. Manage the documentation of foreign tax payments in support of the U.S. foreign tax credit calculation
6. Research and report on tax related matters
7. Assist with the internal control process
8. Manage and train tax interns
9. Assist in the organization of tax files, reports, etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA, Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of compliance and tax accounting experience in a large, multi-national, corporate tax or public accounting firm environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work directly for several individuals simultaneously
- Ability to learn and work with online tax software; Experience with OneSource tax software preferred
- Strong planning, organization, research, and written skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work well under time pressures with focus on required deadlines
- Capable of working independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, particularly among foreign colleagues with limited English language experience
