The Safety & Security Coordinator is responsible for the safe guard of CHG Healthcare assets to include its People, Building, and Intellectual Property. Provides outstanding communication, awareness training and problem solving to all situations.

Qualifications:

  • Maintains the Safety & Security of employees, visitors, and guest of CHG

  • Supports and maintains long and short term company wide strategic safety and security initiatives

  • Monitors CHG Healthcare compliance with Federal, State, and local fire/life safety regulatory agency standards

  • Monitors security desk consoles (i.e., employee access control computer, CCTV video monitors, DVRs)

  • Conducts education and awareness training to minimize and mitigate safety risks, accidents to CHG

  • Coordinates, tracks, enable and disable access for all access badges, keys

  • Maintains parking policies and procedures periodical patrols of campus for unsafe conditions, hazards, unsecured access points, security breaches, blocked ingress and egress

  • Assist in daily reports in accordance with all Policies for the CHG headquarters (e.g. sign in and sign out requirements for visitors)

  • Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences

  • Assist in answers telephone calls to take messages, answers questions, and route calls to appropriate team

  • Participates in CHG Foundations New Hire Orientation training

  • Establish and maintain liaison with local law enforcement and emergency agencies

  • Participate in developing or improving safety and security best practices and policies and procedures

  • Other duties as assigned by management

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to detect, deter, and responds to threats

  • Ability to assist in writing, and implementing Policy & Procedures

  • Must possess strong written/verbal communication, and investigative skills

  • Have a good understanding of Safety & Security principles and practices

  • Responds quickly, calmly and efficiently to emergency and problem situations

  • Must create a partnership between local, Fire, Emergency, and Police Departments

  • Must have a working knowledge of emergency management planning and implementation

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Good working knowledge of security operations, conflict management and safety practices in a business environment

  • A minimum of two years of professional Safety & Security experience or experience in a related discipline

  • First Aid experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety and health, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Industrial Security or related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Five years of experience where primary job function was in safety and security.

  • OSHA General Industry Certified 30-hours

  • CPR, AED certification
