Description:

Primary Purpose

This position is full time administrative position supporting six degree programs (AS/BS Emergency Management, AS/BS Fire Services Administration, AS Paramedic Science/BS Health Science- Emergency Medical Services Concentration), two academic certificates (Community Paramedics and Paramedic Science Academic Certificate), and contracted trainings (Community Health Worker (CHW)) with academic degree and training course development and instructor recruitment and coordination. This position is the department recruiter and additionally alternative student advisor for all degree programs and trainings. Lastly, this position oversees the running of the Human Patient Simulation lab at the Meridian Health Science Center.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Academic advising and responding to requests for information from prospective students.
  2. Program development. Prepare proposals, adapt curriculum, create presentations and reports as needed.
  3. Prepare and disseminate information about the department programs and degrees.
  4. Ensure that department web pages and social media sites are current and accurate.
  5. Conduct promotional activities on behalf of department programs - recruit students.
  6. Organize and implement the admissions process for both the Paramedic Science degree and the Community Paramedic academic certificate.
  7. Coordinate the Human Patient Simulation Lab use by both internal and external users.
  8. Grant/contract writing/reviewing and related reporting.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of relevant experience. • Strong time-management skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently on complex projects in high volume, time-intensive work environment often with tight deadlines. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with multiple and varied stakeholders; be extremely well organized; work in a team environment and work well with others. • Office is located in Meridian, must have the ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree. • Experience in higher education. • Background in emergency management, public safety, or first responder field. • Website functionality and updating. • Experience in marketing, recruiting, social media, website functionality.

The approved salary range is $45,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
