Description:

This position works under the direction of the Program Director. The Health Science Instructor will be responsible for providing technical instruction for students enrolled in the Medical Assisting and Health Information Technology programs. Course content areas may include: anatomy and physiology, medical law and ethics, medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and psychology. Additional responsibilities include verifying student competencies, student advisement and retention, and maintaining student records.

Hourly Wage: $15.00 - $22.00

Working Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Benefits: No benefits package included; part-time position

Qualifications:

Must have work experience in a healthcare setting. Preference will be given to individuals who have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in a health or education-related area. Preference will be given to individuals who have teaching and/or curriculum development experience. Proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. Spanish speaking proficiency desirable.
