Program Manager (ABQ, NM Office)
The Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Manager/Technical Lead position in the Small Satellite Portfolio laboratory located at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This work supports the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and focuses on research, development, integration, test, and operation of small satellites, such as mini-satellites, microsatellites, nanosatellites, and CubeSats. The work also includes development and integration of components, technologies, and processes-related to small satellites and their missions.
The applicant hired for this position will be responsible for managing programmatic elements, including cost, schedule, and technical performance parameters; managing and supervising highly technical personnel, including software engineers and systems engineers; and understanding customer needs and identifying appropriate resources to fill those needs.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
A BS degree in a technical field
8-12 years of experience
Familiarity with Air Force/DoD acquisition processes and Air Force space systems
Able to work well with others
Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Must be a US citizen
Occasional short-term travel may be required
