We are one of the largest manufacturers of regional and commuter trains, light-rail, subways, streetcars and mountain rail. They may be looking for you if you are interested in working in the Salt Lake City area and have the following experiences and skills

The Senior Lead Testing (Commissioning) Engineer

  • Prepares and conducts the testing of passenger trains working with the most modern electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex electrical circuits while loading software on to the PLC's.
  • Work closely with the engineering team in writing and preparing test procedures.
  • Ensures that all processes meet the standard of quality for the company.
  • Managing, controlling and supervision of commissioning staff as a working supervisor
  • Assist project management to fulfill contractual obligations
  • Educating and training of staff
  • Assist department head in staffing planning, projections and planning of milestones
  • Budget and cost responsibility
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Travel within US (approx. 10% or TBD), potential several month’s training offsite

Your Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience of testing modern passenger trains.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar international technical degree) in engineering. (electrical preferred).
  • Knowledge of Passenger Rail software tools such as STO3, Multirec, EVA
  • Skilled in using modern control- and power systems, vehicle-, brake-, and diagnostic software.
  • Highly reliable, great learning skills, management skills and ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work and coordinate in a small group, but also to work independently.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented and structured approach in a dynamic environment.
  • Quick comprehension and adaptability
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German (preferred).
  • High standard of quality.
