ROLE SUMMARY:

Provides technical support for instrument customers and performs repairs in line required performance standards. Duties include performing in-house or in the field troubleshooting, repair and testing work on customers’ instruments. Maintain accurate field startup/training and maintenance records. Interface with customers to arrange schedule visits at customer site and provide technical phone and email support. Perform initial set up of new instruments, including completion of detailed testing procedures to insure proper operation.


REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum, two year Electronics degree

Typical travel two weeks per month, from Monday through Friday to perform in- field services:

  • Majority of travel is within North America, and travel is typically by airplane.

Must have a valid passport.

Some international travel will be required.

Basic knowledge of electronics and customer service procedures; hands-on troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation; ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and volt meters. As well as knowledge of testing procedures.

Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and ability to effectively communicate such knowledge verbally and in writing.
