Description:

The SUU Office of Community & Academic Enrichment is seeking a creative, motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our fun and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, work independently and with a team, and have the ability to write current, relevant content for a variety of community programs/mediums. For students interested in public relations/strategic communication careers, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a portfolio.

Job responsibilities: Develop original content for web, social and print - Assist with building a content strategy - Write press releases, blogs, and social media posts - Conduct research and interviews - Create and maintain relationships with students, faculty, staff and the community.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong written and oral communication skills
  2. Assist with planning, executing and participating in community events
  3. Contribute to branding and advertising campaigns
  4. Attention to detail and dedication to quality
  5. The ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline driven environment
  6. Assist with office duties as assigned
  7. Photography, videography, graphic design experience helpful
  8. Other duties as assigned
