Description:

The SUU Web Services office is seeking a student employee to help with the maintenance of the public-facing www.suu.edu website. Responsibilities will include:

  • Review website reports for accuracy and errors, making corrections as needed
  • Complete ticket assignments for maintenance to web content
  • Update and correct accessibility errors
  • Update content for SEO improvements
  • Assist campus users with content management system use

and other web-related duties as assigned

This job is an office-environment job. Student's work hours must fit into the hours of 8-5, M-F up to 20/hours per week. Hours can be arranged around class schedule.

Qualifications:

A strong work ethic, attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Experience with software packages such as Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop useful. Knowledge of HTML and CSS is desired and valued. Experience with Javascript and PHP is exceptional. Must be a team player and willing to contribute to weekly meeting discussions about the site.

Examples of web development work are helpful, but we are willing to train candidates with exceptionally strong editing/communication skills and a desire/interest in working in the web industry.
