Description:
The Physical Health Lead Peer will focus on promoting and nurturing the physical health of students on Southern Utah University Campus. They will be highly trained individuals on physical health and nutrition. They will serve as a bridge to Physical Education and Nutrition departments. The Physical Health Lead Peer will offer a non-judgmental space to talk and assisting students in creating a exercise and nutrition plan. They are here to listen and desire to make a positive difference in the lives of SUU students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend all trainings/meetings to teach peer education programs
- Practice teaching the assigned physical health education program
- Present mental health education programs to campus and student groups in the
classroom and as a speaker to clubs or other on campus groups
- Speak to classrooms about services offered in Health Services
- Participate in other health and wellness programs
- Be committed to the program for at least 2 semesters
- Network with professors/instructors and other campus groups to create opportunities
for physical health education programs.
- Maintain confidentiality where needed
- Be a resource
- Recruit 1-2 peer educators into the program for the following year
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Interest in physical health
- Good oral communication skills
- Flexible schedule. Able to work occasional evenings.
- Able to work independently and in groups
- Willing to work in a collaborative environment
- Not afraid to ask questions
